Our Team
Universal Graphics is proud to be a family-owned and operated business. Owner Gil Lespron and his family have managed Universal Graphics since its inception and are more than honored to continue being El Paso’s most reliable print shop! The Universal Graphics team is eager to serve those who recognize how printing services can make a difference in their business and advertising techniques. Our History
Our founder, Gil Lespron, grew up watching his father working the printing press of the time. At the early age of 12, Gil began helping his father, working the large printing machine. He became enamored with the idea of printing materials that helped people tell their stories. It was soon clear to him that he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and learn the craft of printing. In 1988, at the age of 22, he set off to open his own commercial print shop. The same year he married Lidia, his high school sweetheart who joined the business a year later; Lidia sold while Gil printed.
For the next 30 years, Gil and Lidia changed and adapted as the print shop went digital and the machinery changed. As young business owners, Gil and Lidia always believed that the relationships between them and their customers were part of what set them apart from other shops. They were dedicated to establishing profound roots in their community and building strong friendships between them and their clients.
Today, Universal Graphics is a testament to all of Gil and Lidia’s hard work and the dedication of everyone who works here. With Adrian joining the team, we are ready for the future and the changes in the industry we love.
